Questions

The things families ask most. Once your player is placed, the parent portal adds step by step guides for every sign-up site.

What is club volleyball?

Competitive training, practice, and tournament play offered outside the school season through a private club. Teams hold USAV/RMR and AAU memberships, which makes them eligible for local Power Leagues through RMR and for out of state tournaments run by USAV, AAU, and other national organizations.

When does the season start and end?

September to early February. That is deliberate: boys high school volleyball in Colorado starts in February and runs to early May, so club finishes before school starts. Teams that travel out of state sometimes extend a little.

How much does it cost?

The boys club program is $3,000 for the season. That covers coaching, two practices a week, six local RMR tournaments, and a uniform package of jerseys and shorts. Out of state tournaments and nationals cost extra. Final pricing and terms are set by the signed club contract.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. Contact the club before the parent kickoff meeting and we will set one up. Sibling discounts and scholarships are available, so ask if cost is the thing standing in the way.

How big are the teams?

Nine to ten players. We keep them small on purpose so every athlete gets meaningful playing time.

Where are practices?

The 24 Fitness Club in Fort Collins and a private facility in Berthoud, two practices per week. We form multiple teams across Northern Colorado to keep drives manageable for families and coaches.

Where are tournaments?

Most RMR Power Leagues are in the Denver area on Saturdays. Colorado Crossroads is in Denver again this year. Out of state travel varies by team and is discussed after tryouts once teams are formed.

Is out of state travel required?

No. It is optional, it costs extra, and each team decides together after placement.

What memberships does my player need?

A current USAV membership through the Rocky Mountain Region, at minimum. AAU is only needed if your team commits to an AAU sanctioned event. Both have step by step guides on this site.

Does club volleyball affect high school eligibility?

Our season is built to finish before the school season starts, which avoids most of the issue. If your team extends for a national event, ask your school athletic director before committing. They are the ones who can actually answer eligibility questions.

How do I find out where we are playing on a tournament Saturday?

RMR posts sites and wave times the Wednesday before. The guide on this site walks through exactly where to look, and the schedule page updates when the club gets the details.

How do we get game film for college recruiting?

Games are recorded from a fixed camera and run through video software that tags plays and players automatically. See the game film guide for how to turn that into a highlight reel coaches will actually watch.
